The most significant difference between the Oravakauha and traditional sauna ladles is the ability to easily and quickly change the ladle's bottom according to the mood and the sauna-goer, even after each löyly (steam) session.
The standard Oravakauha comes with a replaceable bottom featuring four holes.
Replaceable Bottoms:
Holeless Bottom: Using this bottom, the Oravakauha functions as a traditional löyly ladle.
One-Hole Bottom: This allows for creating löyly with extreme precision, targeting a specific stone or crevice.
Twenty-Hole Bottom: This provides more robust and quicker löyly. It can also be used for rain-like cooling for yourself or your sauna companions, and even as a shower in saunas without other shower facilities.
